Aamu 12.9. oli tuulinen ja sateinen. Idän puolen vuoret suojasivat vielä pahimmalta taifuunituulelta. Taifuuni-varoitus oli annettu.
Morning 12th of September was windy and rainy. The mountains on the east still protected from the strongest typhoon winds.

Aamuliikennettä Tayouanissa 11. syyskuuta. Ei vielä merkkiä taifuunista. Morning traffic in Tayouan on 11th September. No sign of the typhoon yet.

Koululaiset kouluun menossa aamulla 11.9.08. Pilvet vyöryvät vuorten yli idässä. Children are walking to school on morning 11th of September.

Taksilla liikkuminen oli kätevää ja edullista. Iso oksa putosi taksin katolle illalla, mutta se vain säikäytti. Using taxis was handy and prices were reasonable. A big branch fell on the taxi roof at night but that only scared a bit.

Yritysten suuret ikkunat oli suojattu teipeillä. The large windows of companies were protected with tapes.
