I named two of my Rhododendron hybrids. The non-registered names are 'Roseum Mustila' (plant code KTH-001) and 'Elsie' after my mother's name (plant code KTH-002). The hybrids are described with new pictures on page Finnish Elepidote Hybrids.

The pollinations seems to yield some pretty interesting new crosses, for example with rhododendrons ambiguum,  'Biskra', calostrotum ssp. keleticum, concinnum,  keiskei 'Yaku Fairy', leucaspis, russatum var. cantabile, saluenense, trichostomum 'Schneeflöckchen', veitchianum, yungningense and yunnanense.

Most of the elepidote crossings did germinate, but there were also some problematic ones. The lepidote crossings on R. tomentosum (Marsh Tea) yielded some very unexpected and exiting results.

I have started to reconstruct my WEB-pages on Rhododendrons  to be more compatible with different browsers and screen sizes.
The new pages are best viewed on 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 1024 or larger screens, but even 800 x 600 is supported.
JavaScript must be enabled and the browser must support the use of Frames.

My goal is to add every week something new to the pages.
I have started with pictures that I have taken from the Finnish Hybrids in my garden.
